This weekend long conference was great. My big takeaways is that Lorimer Moseley is a great educator in a round about way. His goal was not to lecture, but to challenge you to learn and think. This directly applies to the content and how we approach our chronic pain population. When treating our patients with chronic pain we are taught to educated them about pain neuroscience. In order to do that we can't just explain it to them. We have to help them understand themselves, their pain, and the entire process. This takes much more work, effort, and patience, but I feel like it has improved my ability to work with this population. I would gladly take more NOI or Moseley courses in the future.
