Titleist Performance Institute
This course lays a great foundation for understanding the swing mechanics in golf and how a physical screen can identify certain swing characteristics that may lead to a sub-optimal swing. The instructors were very clear throughout the course work. I do wish there was an in-person option for taking the class, however that is not available until level 3 courses.

Foundations course is a small taste of all other courses and a general overview of what FCS is about. The concept of FCS was interesting and quite a different approach from traditional physical therapy. Only partly taught about assessment and clinical reasoning, required to take other courses in the fascial counterstrain system to learn more.

The course can be taken in two parts, both 8 hours each, in order to obtain the certification of MFDc. MFD Level 1 discussed the benefits of utilizing negative pressures, IASTM, and myofascial decompression and its relationship to the connective tissue anatomy and fascial foundations. Very introductory course; would recommend taking the level 2 course in addition in order to optimize understanding and application of MFD.

Despite the class being asynchronous, this class was easily one of my favorite courses I have participated in. The sheer depth of knowledge and evidence based information provided enabled me to feel confident with working with the running athlete. Breaking down the complexities of a runner did require a lot of my attention and focus; though, the information gained is all worth it. I utilize the skills and knowledge from this course on a near daily basis. Would 10/10 recommend this course

This weekend long conference was great. My big takeaways is that Lorimer Moseley is a great educator in a round about way. His goal was not to lecture, but to challenge you to learn and think. This directly applies to the content and how we approach our chronic pain population. When treating our patients with chronic pain we are taught to educated them about pain neuroscience. In order to do that we can't just explain it to them. We have to help them understand themselves, their pain, and the entire process. This takes much more work, effort, and patience, but I feel like it has improved my ability to work with this population. I would gladly take more NOI or Moseley courses in the future.
